2012 Activity/Non Profit Participation Application

  • Will you provide an activity, workshop or service? Content should be appropriate for kids ages 2-12

  • If no, there is a $200 fee for static exhibition only space. Selling of products, tickets, etc., is NOT allowed.

  • Schedule:
    Thursday, May 24, 9am to 3:30pm
    Friday, May 25, 9am to 3:30pm
    Saturday, May 26, 8am to 5pm

    Okanagan Lake Park between the Penticton Lakeside Resort and the Penticton Art Gallery (vehicle entrance is beside the Creek- Red Bridge).

    Time Requirements:
    • Workshoppers and exhibitors should be on site to set up AT LEAST an hour before the festival opens each morning.
    • In order that every child has an opportunity to participate in all activities, please budget at least a 1/2 hour after the site closes for clean up each day.
    • Workshop and exhibit providers are not permitted to tear down before the site closes for the day.
    • Please confer with the Site Coordinator to decide on an alternate activity should you exhaust your activity supplies.
    • At the conclusion of the event on Saturday, your organization is responsible for the complete clean up of your activity area.
    • Activity providers/exhibitors must remain open,available and staffed during the posted festival hours regardless of attendance.

    Technical Requirements and Supplies:
    We request organizations provide as much of their own equipment and supplies as possible due to the Festival’s limited inventory availability.

  • Is your oganization providing its own tent?

  • Please supply your own table cloths

  • Do you need electrical connections? If yes, please supply your own extension cords.
  • Volunteers:

  • Do you have your own volunteers?

  • Will your volunteers be wearing T-shirts from your organization? If no, the OICF will provide volunteer t-shirts
  • Please be advised, all volunteers 19 years or older must have a Criminal Record Check done prior to the event. Criminal Record Check forms are available on our Downloads page

  • Do you need additional volunteers supplied by the OICF?

    • Lunch and refreshments are provided for the workshoppers and volunteers ONLY.
    • All workshop leaders and volunteers are invited to attend the Volunteer Night in Tent 1 at OK Lake Park at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 23th.

    Applications are juried by festival organizers for suitibility, creativity and festival enhansement.
